CICSE INTERSCHOOL CHESS COMPETITION
The Interschool Chess competition held by Greenwood High School had 22 participant schools with more than 300 students competing.
Students of Lawrence High School took part in under 17 boys & girls where the participants had to play 8 rounds in total and in the under 19 boys and girls the participants had to play 5 rounds in total.
It was a proud moment for the school to have secured the 2nd position in under 19 boys and girls category. Shivani Yashwanthra from Grade X was placed in top 5 and is selected for the National Level Tournament while Dhanush of Grade X and Shreya of Grade VIII are selected as standby.
Each student who participated under 19 boys and girls were awarded a medal and merit certificate.
