‘Poetry is the Rhythmical Creation of Beauty in Words.’
Poetry is one of the important and effective modes of learning a language and appreciating a piece of literature. Taking these facts into consideration, the school had organized intra school Recitation Competition for the students of Grades I-IV.
The preliminary round for Grades I- IV was held on 28th June 2019 at class level with 100% participation. A variety of poems were recited expressing their feelings, had flown in a melody from the young ones. The best 5 students were selected from each section for the final round, which was held on 5th July 2019 for Grades III & IV based on the themes seasons and Dreams for Grade III and Humour, Technology and nature for Grade IV respectively. The Final Round for the Students of Grade I & II was held on 12th July 2019 with the poem of their choice. The children were judged on the basis of their pronunciation, spontaneity, clarity, rhythm, and intonation. The children got an opportunity to exhibit their talents and confidence. The competition inspired the children to come forward and recite their poems confidently on the stage.
