It is very important for children to know the importance of eating healthy food and having good healthy habits so to create awareness and encourage children to eat fruits and vegetables, we conducted a day for fruit salad as well as making a vegetable sandwich. Fruits like apples, bananas, kiwis, grapes were kept by the children and each child were asked the taste, size, colour and their favourite fruit. The children also learnt the importance of eating fruits to be healthy. Children were also taught to make a vegetable sandwich .They added slices of carrots, cucumber, tomato lettuce etc .on slices of bread. Children enjoyed their breakfast and shared it with parents. This activity helped them to learn about different vegetables, their textures and the importance of eating vegetables to be healthy.
