A virtual ‘sowing the seeds’ activity was held in Kindergarten for the My Green Friends theme. The little ones were ready with many kinds of seeds (fenugreek, coriander, mustard, green gram etc.) . The concept of germination of seeds was emphasized during the activity. That the life of a plant begins from a tiny seed was highlighted. Further ,children learnt how to sow the seeds in the soil, water them and importance of taking care of the seeds. They learnt that the seed absorbs water from the soil and with the help of the sunlight they start to grow. Growing plant seeds taught kids how nature works and how amazingly the plants grow from a seed. Watching plants grow was a lot of fun and educational experience for children.
