Rhymes help children to experience the rhythm of a language. Our kindergarten children had a recitation activity and it was a treat to watch the little children all decked up with appropriate props as they shared a few lines with all their heart. The confidence shown by each child during the activity was commendable. Kindergarten recitation activities provide a gentle stage for children to step into the spotlight, fostering the early seed of self – assurance that will blossom in the years to come. As they recite the rhymes, they learn to speak with voice modulation, expressions, confidence, and actions.
