‘Raksha Bandhan’ is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. To commemorate this festival, a Rakhi Making Activity was organized in Lawrence for students of LKG. The activity began with the discussion about the festival ‘Raksha Bandhan’. The students were guided to decorate the base of the Rakhi using decorative materials like foam sheets, sequins, glitters etc. Students made beautiful Rakhis using different articles like satin tapes, ribbon, etc. Their artisanship was quite fascinating and children thoroughly enjoyed this activity that tickled their creative side. Once the Rakhi is ready the students were encouraged to tie it to their friends. Objective of this activity is to make students be aware about festival of Raksha Bandhan. It is worth knowing the children can acquire a vast.
