Shaping minds and touching lives
Grade 4 students took part in Declamation, a speech competition that was arguably the best. In the Preliminary Round held on 18thof August, students delivered the speech texts of Sri Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s ‘Tryst with Destiny’. On 23rdof August, five students selected in the Prelims from each section participated in the final round and presented in their original style, excerpts from Mahatma Gandhi’s speech delivered during Quit India Movement and Dr A P J Abdul Kalam’s My Three Visions for India.
Music is a world within itself, with a language we all understand.
It is a known fact that music is the best method of relaxation. Considering this, a virtual Intra school Solo Song competition was organized for the students of Grade 5. The preliminary round was held on August 18th. Music was in the air throughout the event. The participants presented songs based on Patriotic and Devotional themes. The finals conducted on August 24th sawour young maestros giving their best for songs based on Folk and Inspirational themes. Each one’s unique style made the competition a great success. Altogether it was one of the most rewarding experience.
Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life.
A virtual Drawing and Coloring Competition was organized for the young artists of Grade 6 on 23rd of August. The themes for the contest were Independence Day/Save Trees, Grow Trees. This creativity enhancing event witnessed an enthusiastic participation by all students and they took great pride in displaying their skills.
Looks and beauty can only gain attention, but speech and good language can win hearts forever………
Just A Minute, popularly referred to as JAM is an innovative way of testing one’s presence of mind, fluency of language, ability to connect thoughts with the given topic. Keeping this in mind, a JAM competition was successfully conducted for Grade 7 with the preliminary round on the 18th of August, followed by the final round on the 24th of August. The participants took up the challenge wholeheartedly and spoke on various given topics showcasing their logical flow of thoughts and ideas. The fun-filled and educative event enriched everyone present.
