Diti Muddappa, a eleven-year-old student in class 6 at Lawrence High School participated in the 14th Classic International Open Taekwondo Championship 2022 from 12th to 14th August 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and won the Bronze Medal for POOMSAE(TAEGEUK 3 & 4) in the Super Junior Division – Green Belt category conducted for 9 – 11 years age group. Participants from 22 countries took part in the competition.
Diti is practicing Taekwondo at WRM Taekwondo Academy. Taekwondo is a Korean Martial Art and Poomsae is a sequence of various stances, blocks, punches and kicks in response to attacks from imaginary assailants. Movements have to be precise to gain points.
