Students of Grade V were taken to Garuda Polyflex Foods Private Limited, manufacturer, supplier and exporter of choco sticks, confectionaries and biscuits, Bommasandra on 31st
August 2018,as part of their Field Trip.
On reaching the place, students were asked to wear mask and head cap before entering the manufacturing unit. They were taken around in batches to witness the making of choco sticks which is entirely done by machines. Seeing how a flavouring agent is added to the machine that grinds with chocolate to get a thick consistency and then passed into thin cylindrical moulds to get the shape of choc stick and finally wrapped in covers, put in poly pet jars and sent to the market was indeed a great learning experience. Students left the place with a hamper consisting of choco sticks, labels and balloons.
