Field Trip – Grade V

The students of Grade V had a great learning experience while on their visit to Curiousity Science Centre on 27th and 28th June as a part of educational field trip.
The topic chosen was Light and Illusion. Students learnt about visible and invisible light and also about the behaviour of light in different mediums. They had great fun solving the crossword puzzles and looking at the various posters displayed.
A demonstration was conducted to show that light travels in a straight line. Contribution of Eratosthenes, a Greek mathematician was highlighted, and properties of shadows and a few examples of illusion were very clearly explained.
Overall, it was an enriching and engaging experience for all the students. The light in their eyes bore testament to the sheer joy they felt at the spark of learning ignited in a new and exciting way.
Thanks to the team of Curiousity Center for encouraging students to learn by doing.
