Despite the growing vehicle population, Bangalore is kept on the move-Thanks to its traffic police personnel.
Battling the harsh sun, rain, pollution and many civic woes, the service of the traffic police goes unnoticed. With the aim of making younger generation recognize their tireless contribution to the society and emphathise with the hardships they face, Grade VII students, active members of the ‘Children’s Movement towards Civic Awareness (CMCA)
group were taken to the Bangalore Traffic Management Centre.
The police officers interacted with the children answering their queries and educating them with the various statistics of accidents that happen each year. They emphasized on the importance of following safety rules and precautions.
The children expressed their gratitude by giving the officers bouquets and cards and left the centre having been well informed about the current situation of Bangalore traffic.
